HUGOTON – MaryLou Peterson, 75, died Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013 at her home in Enid, Okla.

She was born Feb. 2, 1938, to Paul and Mary (Tyler) Slocum in Sublette.

She married Bill Peterson Aug. 28, 1955, in Sublette. He died March 12, 2000.

She was a homemaker, and co-owner of Peterson Trucking in Hugoton.

She was a member of the Assembly of God Church of Hugoton and First Assembly of God Church in Enid, Okla.

She loved spending time with her family, cooking large meals for the holidays, gardening and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events.

Survivors include two sons, Steve Peterson and wife, Tammie, Hugoton, and Craig Peterson and companion, Wendy, Hugoton; one daughter, Debbie Nuckolls and companion, Jack, Enid; two brothers, Curtis Slocum and wife, Maria, Hugoton, and Duane Slocum, Sun City, Ariz.; three sisters, Pauline Nelson and husband, Richard, Oklahoma City, Imagene Bressler and husband, Dallas, Liberal, and Karen McGill and husband, Bob, Joplin, Mo.; nine grandchildren; and 17 great- grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; one brother, George Slocum; and one grandson,  Chastin Peterson.

• Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Assembly of God Church of Hugoton, with the Rev. Robert Bailey presiding.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Assembly of God Church, Hugoton.

Burial will be at Hugoton Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Assembly of God Church, Hugoton, in care of Brenneman Funeral Home, 1212 W. Second, Liberal, Ks 67901
