The West Warriors seventh grade girls basketball teams were in action at home Thursday evening, taking on the Dodge City Comanche Coyotes.

The Coyotes were able to take two of the three games played, winning the A team and C team games, while the West B team won their game.

The A team struggled from the start, falling behind early, and never able to gain the upper hand. In the end it was Dodge City Comanche getting the 29-15 win.

The Warriors B team faired much better, in their game. West led 9-4 at the half, and extended their lead to seven after three quarters. At the end of regulation, the Warriors got the 18-11 victory.

The C team game was a low-scoring affair, with neither team able to get much going offensively. The Coyotes took that game 4-2.

West’s eighth-grade teams were in Dodge City Thursday to take on the Coyotes.

Both A and B teams were victorious for West, with the A team getting a 25-14 win, and the B team winning 15-8.
