After a disappointing one point double overtime loss to Butler on Friday, Seward responded with a vengeance on Saturday.

Niem Stevenson’s 23 points helped Seward crush Raleigh’s Finest, 104-69.

Five Saints scored in double figures in the win.

Seward improved its free throw shooting from the dismal 49 percent effort against Butler and knocked down 79 percent against Raleigh’s Finest, making 22 of 28 attempts. The night before, Seward only made 26 of 53 attempts in a 99-98 loss.

Saturday, Seward jumped out to a 48-33 halftime lead and poured in 56 points in the second half for the 104-69 win.

Brian Bridgeforth recorded a double double, scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds in the win.

Secean Johnson has started to demonstrate his ability for the aints and followed his 16-point performance against Butler with 22 against Raleigh’s Finest.

Evan Allen scored 13, and Tyreke Sharp added 12.

Seward moved to 4-4 and will travel to Scottsbluff, Neb., Friday to face Northeastern to open a two-day Thanksgiving weekend classic. Saturday, Seward will face Western Nebraska.
