ULYSSES – Rosa Angelica Manzano De Salinas, 63, died Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013, at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City.
She was born Nov. 20, 1950, to Nazario and Romana C. Manzano in Colonia Esperanza, Chihuahua, Mexico.
She married Avelardo Salinas Nov. 22, 1975, in Ulysses. He survives.
Shewas a member of Templo Nueva Vida Church.
She is also survived by three children, Ervey Salinas, San Diego, Jonathan Salinas and wife, Sheena, Wichita, and Micah Salinas of Wichita; six brothers, Robert Manzano, Ulysses, Juan Manzano Ulysses, Sam Manzano, Denver City, Texas, Javier Manzano, Denver City, Joe Manzano, Ulysses, and Victor Manzano, OJ, Mexico; six sisters, Ester Morales Denver City, Socorro M. Tijerina of Presidio, Texas, Amparo Nevarres Denver City, Irene Gutierrez, Juarez, Mexico, Lucila Rodriguez, Lampasas, Texas, and Maria Elena Perez, Ulysses; and four grandchildren, Corbyn Salinas, Aniston Salinas, Austyn Salinas, and Caleb McEachern.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
• Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Country View Baptist Church in Ulysses, with Pastor Hermando Ortiz presiding.
Burial will follow at the Ulysses Cemetery.
Friends may call until 8 p.m. today with a worship service beginning at 6 p.m. and from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Garnand Funeral Home in Ulysses.
