The Plains Lions Club will present the 46th Christmasing In Plains on Sunday, Dec. 8. The theme of the event is: “Christmas, Love in Action”
WHO SHOULD COME: EVERYONE?
Round up the family, friends and neighbors and head to Christmasing In Plains on Dec. 8. Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive in their sled to lead the parade at 4 p.m. The Snowflake King, Drezden Zimmerman and Queen, Lacie Banman, will also be riding with Santa. Drezden is the son of Kevin and Krystal Zimmerman and Lacie is the daughter of Isaac and Suzy Banman.
WHO IS BEING HONORED?
The Parade Marshals are Barry and Melissa Mellen, who are being honored by the Lions for their years of service to the community.
SOMETHING TO EAT:
The Lions will be serving meals at the Plains Community Building in the park a tasty meal at noon and chili to warm up with after the parade.
LOOKING FOR THE PERFECT GIFT?
Great gifts and crafts are available at the WIZZYWIG CRAFT and GIFTS SHOW in the Plains Community Building from noon till 6 p.m.
FOR THE KIDS:
After the parade at the Community Building in the Park, visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus in the Community Building, ride the Lions Kiddy Train and enter the Hay Scramble.
“The Bellas,” the local community hand bell choir, will perform around 12:45 p.m. at the Plains Community Building in the Park.
USED EYE GLASSES:
They will be collected at the Lions booth in the Community Building. People who donate a pair of glasses will be entered in a drawing for a prize. Help the Lions help others with sight problems.
Plains is the place to be Sunday the 8th.
