The Forgan Bulldogs jumped out early to an early lead Tuesday night, and never looked back, winning 77-37 against Hooker.

Forgan scored early and often, taking a 13-2 lead in the first four minutes to open the game. Forgan led by as many as 15, with the score 20-5 in the opening quarter.

At the end of the first, Hooker trailed, 23-10.

The lead did not fluxuate much in the second, but Hooker did manage to cut it down to single digits with the score 29-21, with just under two minutes to play in the half.

Forgan however, finished the half with a 10-0 run over to take a 39-21 lead into halftime.

A 13-3 run to open up the second half extended Forgan’s lead to 28 with with three minutes to play.

Heading into the fourth, Forgan led comfortably, 56-28.

Despite having doubled up Hooker, Forgan continued to press forward in the final quarter.

Another big Forgan run, this time a 13-2 run to open the fourth, pushed the lead to 47 at 69-32.

Five minutes later, the final buzzer sounded, and Forgan had wowed the hometown crowd with a 77-37 victory.

Forgan had three players in double figures. Jace Kerr led the way with 18 points, while Demetrius Alston had 13, and Chandler Bryer 11. Cameron Vanetta chipped in with nine points as well.

Dayton Metcalf was the lone double-digit scorer for Hooker, netting 11 points in the loss. Jordan Kennedy had six points for Hooker.

Forgan will be on the road to take on the Beaver Dusters Friday, and Hooker will be in Texhoma to take on the Red Devils.
