Warriors take two from Comanche PDF Print E-mail

The West Warrior eighth grade girls handed Dodge City Comanche a pair of losses when the two teams hooked up Monday night at West. The Warriors A team picked up a 15-11 victory, and the B team won their game 29-14. Comanche’s C team got an 8-4 win.

The A team game was a defensive struggle, and West had a tough time scoring in the half-court offense. Ali Lucero led the Warriors with nine points in the game, while Tania Minjarez added three.

Gissell Uribe had two points, and Elizabeth Luebbers chipped in with one.

West’s B team won easily, picking up a 29-14 victory. The game was highlighted by Caitlin Nutt’s season-high 14 points.

Breia Duque added seven points, and Lisette Ailon, Sarai Borunda and Alexa Rivas all had two points a piece.

Thursday, the eighth grade Warrior girls will be in Garden City to take on Horace Goode. They will then head back to Garden City Monday for the beginning of the ARMS league tournament.
