South’s seventh grade girls had trouble finding the basket early against Hugoton and chased the Lady Eagles the rest of the night in a 25-10 loss in the Apache Fieldhouse.

The Lady Apaches fell behind 6-0 after the first quarter, but they were abel to score two free throws and a basket in the second quarter and trailed 14-4 at half.

Hugoton continued to outpace the Lady Apaches in the second half, and while South struggled to score, they played better defensively.

Arely Valenzuela led the Lady Apaches with six points, Emmily Rosales scored two and Alma Garcia had two.
