It's been a slow start this season for Beaver's top scorer from last season, Garrett Weber. But Weber got on track Friday night with 32 points in a 70-61 win by the Dusters over Syracuse to send the Dusters to the championship game of the Rolla Showcase Tournament.

Weber was a force inside and out, and at the free throw line where he made 13 of 21.

Beaver took control of the game at the opening tip, going up 24-9 by the end of the first quarter.

Syracuse righted their ship in the second period, but still trailed by 13 at half (37-24).

Beaver added one to their lead with a 17-16 advantage in the third. Syracuse made a run but could get no closer than nine.

Beaver managed to overcome 21 turnovers even though Syracuse only committed 11.

Beaver was 19 of 34 at the line, and Syracuse was 16 of 21.

Beyond Weber's 32, it was Jorge Rivera with 13.

Beaver faced off against Elkhart in Saturday's final.
