Obituary

Deana Mae Jones, 87, died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013, in Muskogee, Okla.
She was born Jan. 11, 1926, to Nettie and John Martin Cook, in Forgan, Okla.
She worked as a telephone operator, and after she was married, she devoted her time to being a homemaker and raising her children.
She was a Baptist by faith. After moving from Liberal to Tahlequah, she attended Blessed Hope Baptist Church. She only attended for a short time due to poor health. She was led to the Lord by Pastor Bill Holcomb.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna "Pennington" Carlisle, Tahlequah; three grandsons, Troy, Randy and Nathan Pennington; granddaughter, Nanci Longoria; four great-grandchildren; five great great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Nettie; her beloved son, Donald Dean in 1946; her husband, Roy in 2006; a daughter, Phyllis; five siblings, Paul, Carl, Ted, Raymond and Helen.
• Private graveside services will be in Forgan, Okla.
Final arrangements have been placed under the care of Green Country Funeral Home.
