Hobson Elden Agee, 90, died Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013, at the Lone Tree Retirement Center in Meade. He was born May 15, 1923, the son of Hobson and Margareeta (Green) Agee, at Palacios, Texas. He married Mildred Elizabeth Henley on July 20, 1944, in Covington, Okla. She preceded him in death on Feb. 20, 1995. He then married Yvonnie Crittenden on Nov. 20, 1998, in Plains. She Survives. He was a Navy veteran serving on the USS Talbot 114 Destroyer in the Pacific Theater during WWII. After serving his country, he spent a major part of his life in the farming industry. In later years he formed his own business, Agee Construction, where he worked from 1973 until his retirement in 1997. He loved carpentry, gardening and fishing in Colorado. Other survivors include four sons, Wayne Agee and wife, Becca, Edmond, Okla., Bob Agee and wife, Cindy, Oklahoma City, Okla., Jack Agee, Liberal, Frank Agee and wife, Mendy, Edmond, Okla.; one daughter, Jean "Sissy" Flores, Edmond, Okla.; one brother, Maynard Agee and wife, Mildred, Friona, Texas; two sisters, Betty Wetsel and husband, Eldon, Midland, Texas, Ann Ford, Floydada, Texas; and 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to his parents and his first wife, Mildred, he was also preceded in death by one sister, JoAnn Martin. • Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Miller Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Rex Petty presiding. Burial will follow at the Liberal City Cemetery. Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Miller Mortuary.
