The Tyrone Lady Bobcats bounced back from their opening round loss in the High Plains Tournament to win two straight including the consolation game over Keyes, 36-34.
It was a strong second quarter defensively that proved to be the difference, as the Lady Bobcats held the Lady Pirates to just two points in the second quarter.
Tyrone trailed 15-12 at the end of the first, but led 21-17 after the second quarter’s defensive performance.
Keyes cut into the lead by one in the third (28-25). Keyes made the game one point closer, but Tyrone held on for the win.
Rayna Wall led the Lady Bobcats with 15 points, and Tori Dumler added 9.
Tyrone is finished until after Christmas break, and will return to action when they host Beaver, January 7th.
