The Beaver Lady Dusters looked poised to cruise to a tournament championship over South Baca, Colorado at the Rolla Showcase, Saturday with a 13-point lead heading into the fourth.

But South Baca made a run, outscoring the Lady Dusters 15-6 in the fourth quarter. But it was too little, too late as Beaver held on for the 52-48 win.

Beaver trailed early in the game, 10-9, but by halftime led 28-23.

An 18-10 advantage for the Lady Dusters in the third made the score 46-33, which ended up being big for Beaver.

Jacinda Balderrama scored 26, and was named tournament MVP.

Beaver (4-4) will travel to Booker, Texas, Friday.
