The West seventh grade girls basketball team finished third at the Ark River Middle School tournament earlier this week.

West was the No. 3 seed and started with a 40-18 win over Dodge City. The Lady Warriors then lost to Comanche, 23-6.

West rebounded in the third-place game with a 32-21 win over Hugoton for third.

In the B-team tournament, the Lady Warriors finished second.

West was the No. 2 seed and started with a 33-0 win over South. West followed with a 21-13 win over Comanche to advance to the championship. The Lady Warriors lost in the final, to Hugoton, 37-14.

The West eighth grade team finished fourth.

West entered the tournament a the No. 4 seed and earned a 17-6 win over Comanche. West then lost to the No. 1 seed Hugoton Lady Eagles 48-16.

West lost a three-point game to Kenneth Henderson 27-24 to finish fourth.

In the B-team tournament, the Lady Warriors took third.

West entered the tournament as the No. 3 seed and opened with a 35-10 win over South.

West then lost to Horace Good 20-14.

West knocked off Dodge City in the third place game 15-14.
