ULYSSES – Homero L. Esquivel, 70, died Friday, Dec. 27, 2013, at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospital Center, Wichita.

He was born March 7, 1943, to  Estaben and Antonia (Lopez) Esquivel in Brownsville, Texas.

He married Dominga Pauda Esquivel July 27, 1968, in Brownfield, Texas. She preceded him in death.

He worked for T&L Irrigation for many years.

Survivors include two sons, Homero Esquivel Jr., and Henry Esquivel; three daughters, Isabel Esquivel, Angielee LeNeve and husband Robert, and Andria Mondragon and husband, Gilbert, all of Ulysses; four sisters, Betrice Cruz, Santos Medellin, Rita Castillo and Juanita Martinez, all of Texas; 13 grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Antonia Alvarez, brothers, and one sister, Olivia Renteria.

• Rosary service will be at 7 p.m. today at Mary Queen of Peace Church, Ulysses.

Mass service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Mary Queen of Peace Church, Ulysses.

Friends may call until 5 p.m. today at Grant County Funeral Home.
