MEADE — Meade actually had a lead on the Lady Mustangs, for about 20 seconds, Tuesday night.
But the visions of an upset were short-lived when the Lady Mustangs poured it on to take a 35-4 lead and went on to earn a 62-18 win.
The Lady Buffaloes were fouled and hit two free throws to take a 2-0 lead.
But the No. 1 Lady Mustangs responded quickly and had an 11-3 lead with 1:22 to play in the first quarter.
Southwestern Heights forced 10 first half turnovers on the Lady Buffaloes.
The Lady Mustangs were still playing without junior standout Deni Jacobs. She may return as soon as Friday against Elkhart.
But against Meade, the Lady Mustangs were able to cover.

Heights will travel to Elkhart Friday to preserve their undefeated record.
