Whatever Lady Bulldogs head coach Ray Kennedy said at halftime of Hooker's first round game at the Western Equipment Classic in Arapaho worked.

After scoring just 25 points in the first half, Hooker exploded for 27 in the third quarter on their way to a 65-38 win over Snyder.

Hooker led 25-20 at the half, then outscored Snyder by 18 points in the third quarter to take a commanding 52-29 lead into the final stanza.

A 13-9 advantage in the fourth made the final margin 27.

Kyra Cathcart and Mariana Cervantes scored 21 points each, and Shania Miller added 11.

Hooker advances to take on Sayre today.
