The Turpin Cardinals continue to struggle to find ways to score, and it cost them big in their first round game at the Oil Center Classic in Woodward. Turpin was held to just four points in the first and third quarters in a 56-30 loss to the Mooreland Bearcats.

Trailing 23-14 at the half, Turpin still held hopes of a comeback victory. Mooreland put those thoughts to rest with a 19-4 advantage in the third to put the game away.

Davian Ratzlaff and Isaac Resendiz each scored 8 for Turpin.

Turpin will take on Canton today on the consolation side of the bracket.
