A fatality Thursday claimed the life of a Beaver, Okla., man.

The accident occurred around 9:55 a.m. Thursday less than a mile south of Beaver on U.S. Highway 270.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported Fred Keith, 90, was driving a 2005 Toyota Camry four-door northbound on Hwy. 270 when the vehicle went off the roadway to the right.

OHP went on to say that the Camry then went back across the roadway to the west side into the ditch when it struck a tree stump on the passenger side of the vehicle.

Finally, OHP said the Camry rotated and struck a tree with the rear end of the vehicle.

Keith was taken to Beaver County Memorial Hospital in Beaver where he died of head, arm and trunk internal injuries.
