The Liberal High School After Prom Committee has rescheduled a fundraiser for its activities.

Originally scheduled to take place Dec. 7, the Jingle All The Way Color Run/Walk will now take place Saturday, Jan. 18, starting in the LHS football parking lot.

The original date for the event was canceled due to temperatures in the teens and 20s on the morning of Dec. 7. According to weather.com, this Saturday’s temperatures are forecast to be a little warmer, with highs expected in the 40s.

The Jingle All The Way Color Run/Walk is a 5K, untimed race in which participants are doused from head to toe in colors at each kilometer.

The fun continues at the finish line with a gigantic “finish festival” using more colored powder to create happiness and lasting memories.

Random prizes also to be handed out at the end of the race. The race will start at noon with check-in starting at 10:30 a.m.

Registrations will be accepted at the regular price of:

• $25 per solo runner/walker for early registration or $35 on Jan. 18;

• $50 per 4 person team for early registration or $60 on Jan. 18;

• $10 per person 6-12 years old for early registration or $20 on Jan. 18; and

• $5 per person 5 and younger for early registration or $15 on Jan. 18.

Registration forms can also be picked at the Leader & Times and/or KSCB Broadcast Square. The event can also be followed on Twitter and Facebook.
