The Turpin Cardinals took down the Waynoka Railroaders 38-34 in overtime to claim the consolation trophy at the Oil Center Classic Saturday afternoon.

The two teams went back and forth throughout the game.

Waynoka grabbed an 8-7 lead in the first, but it was Turpin with an 8-7 advantage in the second to knot the game at 15 at half.

A low scoring third put Turpin up 19-17 heading into the fourth, but Waynoka was able to tie the game at 30 by the end of regulation.

Jordon Lujan and Kyler Musgrave each scored 13. Lujan was named to the all-tournament team.

Turpin will host Boise City tomorrow.
