HUGOTON – Clarence Paul Nix, 86, died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014, at Pioneer Manor Nursing Home, Hugoton.
He was born May 1, 1927, to Clarence L. and Hazel (Costin) Nix in Stevens County.
He married Glenna A. Munkres Sept. 4, 1948, in Clayton, N.M. She survives.
He was a farmer and stockman.
He was a member of Lone Star Friends Church, serving as a clerk for 10 years.
He served on The Bank Board of Directors for Citizen State Bank from 1967 to 1998. He served 10 years on ASC committee.
Other survivors include two sons, Dennis Nix and wife, Jolene, Olathe, and David Nix and wife, Kathy, Hugoton; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Costin Nix; and two sisters, Helen Hathaway and Thelma Holt.
• Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Lone Star Friends Church, rural Hugoton, with the Rev. Kenneth Hathaway presiding.
Burial will be at the Hugoton Cemetery.
Friends may call until 8 p.m. today at Paul’s Funeral Home.
