College to offer Defensive Driving courses PDF Print E-mail

The courses will be offered from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1, or Friday, March 28.

The cost is $35 per person and the courses will be at the Seward County Community College/Area Technical School’s Student Union, Room No. SU214 E/W.

The instructor will be Michael Racy with the Kansas Highway Patrol.

ABOUT THE COURSE:

This course could save lives and money.

Learn to avoid accidents by identifying and responding to risky driving hazards. In addition, drivers will learn to identify the effects of impaired driving, maintain control in adverse situations, understand the most common driving errors that contribute to collisions, recognize uncontrollable driving conditions, why vehicle maintenance is necessary, and learn defensive maneuvers that help maintain control.

They will also learn how the right attitude can help prevent both collisions and poor decision-making.
