The Hooker Lady Bulldogs traveled to Colorado to face Walsh, and after a slow start took care of business, winning 66-23.

Hooker led Walsh 10-5 at the end of the firs quarter, and outscored Walsh 24-10 in the second to go up, 34-15 at half.

“We were sluggish coming off of the Texhoma Tournament,” Lady Bulldogs coach Ray Kennedy said. “I’ve seen that many times before the Tuesday after a weekend tournament.”

Whatever sluggishness the Lady Bulldogs had in the first half, they shook of in the third. Hooker dominated the third, 22-4 to go up 56-19.

Kyra Cathcart scored 14 of her game-high 24 in the third. Vanessa Weibe also hit three threes on her way to 15 points.

With a big lead in tow, the Lady Bulldogs slowed the pace in the fourth, and won by 43.

No.12 Hooker (17-2) will now take some time off before hosting Forgan, Feb. 7th.
