Vernetta Kay Clampitt, 75, died Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014.
She was born June 6, 1938, to Clifton and Rena (Lewis) Plunk in Baker, Okla.
She taught school for more than 30 years having graduated from Oklahoma Panhandle State University and the University of Oklahoma with a master’s degree.
She was a member of the Kingsland Community Church.
She enjoyed traveling with her husband around the country to various jobs they had. After she retired, she enjoyed her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, David, Marble Falls; son, Bob, and wife, Linda, Edmond, Okla.; daughter, Jacque Woolman and husband, Tee, Llano, Texas; brothers, Delmer Plunk, Baker, Okla., Terry and wife, Mary Jane Plunk, Bartlesville, Okla., and Rondal Plunk, Wichita; sisters, Norma Rook and husband, Earl, Colorado Springs, Colo., and Doneva Parr and husband, Randy, Humble, Texas; grandchildren, Cami, Michael and Walker; and one great granddaughter, Emerson.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Glen Plunk.
• A celebration of life service is planned for 11 a.m. Feb. 15 at at Putnam Funeral Home Chapel, Kingsland, Texas.
