• Special to the Leader & Times

Baker Arts Center’s potter’s wheels will be spinning again as clay artists learn to throw on the wheel. Students will work on a group project to create tiles to decorate by the sink in the workshop area.

They will create bowl and cup forms to round out the clay making experience. Glazing finishes off their objects with color and shine.

This is a two-month-long workshop to allow for drying and firing time of the work. Pick one day of the week for class – Wednesdays or Fridays.

The class meets from 3:45 to 4:45 p.m. on Wednesdays – Feb. 5, 12, 19, 26 and March 5, 12, 26; or 3:45 to 4:45 p.m. on Fridays – Feb. 7, 14, 21, 28 and March 7, 14, 28.

There will be no class Spring Break. The cost is $30 for members and $40 for nonmembers. Class size is limited.

The center is located at 624 N. Pershing in Liberal. Call 624-2810 for more information and to enroll.
