As a young man, Dennis mowed lawns, delivered donuts for the Spudnut Shop, delivered newspapers, made /delivered pizza and was a dishwasher in several area restaurants.

Upon receiving his GED, Dennis became a Vietnam Era veteran where he served in the U.S. Army 1975-1976. Receiving an honorable discharge in 1976 for his short tour of military service, he became a roughneck in the oilfield industry.  He worked both open / cased holes and setting up of the tank batteries. He was a fence builder and an all-round handyman, fixing things that were broken, a "jack of all trades but a master of none" until his death this past week.

Dennis' hobbies included camping, fishing, reading (often going to the library), finding what treasures were out there with a metal detector, playing cards, playing pool.  He loved life. His traveling took him to 35 states in his journeys, either on his own or with friends (because they needed the company). He loved family and was always there for them (to include his friends), in their time of need. He had a great ear to listen, because he loved people and he always gave good advice.  He loved his nieces and nephews and shared many stories of the family with them as well as his humor. He had a smile equivalent to his mothers smile.

Dennis never married but was loved by many, he will be dearly missed.
