James D. Dozier, 38, died Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014, at his residence.
He was born July 23, 1975, to Danny L. and Sherri Owens Dozier in Liberal.
He attended schools in Liberal.
He married Marsha Wrench Jan. 11, 2003 in Beloit. She survives.
He was formerly employed as a manager at Catlins Apple Market in Beloit.
Other survivors include maternal grandmother, Evelyn Harris, Liberal; paternal grandmother, Joyce Dozier, Dearborn, Mo.; his father and step-mother, Danny and Sandra Dozier, St. Joseph, Mo., mother and step-father, Sherri and Carl Hightower, Liberal; four sons, Kendal L. Donley, Newton, Joshua S. Dozier, Atchison, Daniel J. Dozier, Atchison, and Johnathan Collins of Kentucky; five daughters, Adrianne (Chris) Studdard, Atchison, Kayla (fiancée Mario) Dozier, Atchison, Desiree Dozier, Newton, Natalie Cheney, Atchison, and Tosha Roach, Liberal; a brother, Brandon Dozier, Wichita; two step-brothers, Ryan Wegenka, St. Joseph, and Robbie Wegenka, St. Joseph; a sister, Jennifer Smith, Liberal; a step sister, Tonja Hightower, Liberal, three grandchildren, Deaira Studdard, Delaine LaBarbera and William Bentley Roach; and many nieces, nephews, friends and relatives.
