A slim lead was all it took. The Goodwell Eagles built a small fourth quarter lead, then hit 8 of 11 free throws to top Turpin, 39-32.

Goodwell built an 8-6 advantage in the third to carry a 24-22 lead into the fourth, then outscored the Cardinals 15-10 to win.

Both teams started slow with the first quarter ending in a 6-6 tie. The second quarter was much of the same with each team scoring 10.

Davian Ratzlaff hit a pair of threes and was the Cardinals top scorer with 10. Matt Young and Kyler Musgrave each added 6.

Turpin will play at Elkhart Tuesday.
