HUGOTON – Valetin Castillo, 40, died Sunday, Feb. 21, 2010, at Hugoton.

He was born June 26, 1969, to Rodrigo and Margarita (Soto) Castillo in Meoqi, Mexico.

He was a diesel mechanic.

He was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church in Hugoton.

Survivors include his mother; one son, R. Bryan Castillo, Elkhart; one daughter, Valerie Castillo, Elkhart; one brother, Rodrigo Castillo, Olathe; three stepbrothers, Tim Anderson, Gruver, Texas, Jason Anderson of Maine and B.J. Anderson, Chapel Hill, N.C.; one sister, Margarita Leonhart, Olathe; one stepsister, Denise Peterson, Panhandle, Texas; and other relatives and friends.

He was prececed in death by his stepfather, Bob J. Anderson.

o A vigil service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at St. Helen Catholic Church in Hugoton.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Helen Catholic Church in Hugoton with Father Pascal Klein presiding.

Burial will be at the Rolla Cemetery.

Friends may call until 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday at Paul’s Funeral Home.
