For the second season in a row the Beaver Dusters had to go to Texhoma for the district tournament, and for the second time in a row Beaver beat the host Red Devils to win the district title.

This time Beaver built a first half lead, then held off a Texhoma rally to win 54-51.

The Beaver Dusters took the early lead 12-8 in the first quarter, then doubled their lead to eight at half with a 15-11 advantage in the second to go up 27-19 at half.

Texhoma rallied back in the third by outscoring the Dusters 15-10 to cut the lead to three heading into the final stanza (37-34).

Texhoma scored had their best offensive output of the game with 17 points, but so did the Dusters who matched it to preserve the victory.

Garrett Weber finished with 20 points, Jorge Rivera added 12, Andrew Jesko 10, and Hadley Skaggs 8.

Beaver advances to face regional tournament host No.6 Laverne Thursday at 8 p.m. in the winner's bracket.
