Obituary

Ila Fern Oyler, 85, died  Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014, at her residence at Emeritus Liberal Springs in Liberal.

She was born July 16, 1928, to Irvine and Velma Grabeel in Liberal.

She married Lloyd Oyler Jan. 13, 1946, in Garden City. He died Dec. 24, 2007.

She was a farm wife for more than 50 years. She last drove a grain truck during the 2007 wheat harvest when she was 80.

She was a member of GRANGE Rural Community Club and the Liberal Nazarene Church.

Survivors include two sons, Eddie Oyler and wife, Phyllis, Liberal, and Clinton Oyler and wife, Laura Jane, Tyrone, Okla; sister Hazel Bishop, Oklahoma City; four grandchildren, Garret Oyler, Shane Oyler, Kelsi Oyler and Jason Oyler; and two great-grandchildren, Kaylee Oyler and Jayden Oyler.

• Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Arlen Ankle presiding.

Burial will follow at the Liberal City Cemetery.

Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Miller Mortuary.
