Workers with Mammoet ease along with a huge de-methanizer that was built by Eaton Metal in Idaho for DCP’s helium plant on the Cimarron River northeast of Liberal. The 196-feet piece of equipment will be used for removing all the different gases and liquid products found in petroleum at the plant.

The moving company started its trek to DCP on Dec. 15, 2013, and Mammoet workers will spend the next three weeks prepping the tower for installation at the plant. Both trailers can be seen in this photo, and both can be “steered” from a satellite control panel on each trailer. The blue trailer has 10 axles and 80 tires, while the red trailer has 12 axles and 96 tires. In the next three weeks, the de-methanizer will be prepped and Mammoet will bring in cranes to stand the tower upright at the plant’s expansion site.
