George “Jud” Nance, 76, died Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014, at the Memorial Hospital of Texas County.
He was born Aug. 28, 1937 in Wichita to James and Grace (Radcliff) Nance.
He married Mary Lee Voss on March 23, 1973, in Ellinwood. She survives.
He attended school in Forgan, Okla., Beaver, Okla. and Liberal.
He owned and operated his own auto shop in Ellinwood for several years.
Other survivors include seven children, Leslie Cairns and husband, Steve, Pueblo, Colo., Barbara Washington and husband, George, Wichita, Karla Ledesna and husband, Alfred, Amarillo, Texas, Tammy Kerr and husband, Bryan, Amarillo, Texas, Linda Lunsford and husband, Jerry of Guymon; Rhonda Atkins and husband, Dennis, Hooker, Okla., and Wayne Fagala and wife, Kathy, Ardmore, Okla.; two brothers, Richard Nance and wife, Charlene, Topeka, and Carl Nance and wife, Joyce, Dodge City; one sister, Beverly Ogletree, Baker, Okla.; 19 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Donahope Nobles; and one grandson, Will Lovelace.
• Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Guymon First Baptist Church with Wayne Fagala and Carl Nance presiding.
Burial will follow at the Elmhurst Cemetery.
