The Meade Buffaloes finished off a sweep against the Southwestern Heights Mustangs in what was an exciting series this season, 61-57.

Morgan Davis led the Buffaloes offense with 22 points, including three 3-pointers. Landon Bird hit four treys and totaled 15 points.

For the Mustangs it was Nate Johnsrud with a game-high 23 points, and five threes. Jorge Dela Torre added 20.

Meade trailed by five (19-14) at the beginning of the second quarter but rallied with a 19-10 advantage to take a 33-29 lead at half.

The Buffaloes extended their lead to seven by scoring 13 points in third and holding Heights to just 10.

Heights rallied in the fourth, outscoring Meade 18-15, but came up four short of the Buffaloes.

Meade finished the game 9/16 from the free throw line. Heights was 5/9.

Meade (13-2) will travel to Stanton County Friday night. Heights (11-7) will be at Elkhart Friday.
