The Balko Lady Bison will get a well-earned day of rest today after defeating No.7 Burlington 64-61 in double overtime Thursday night.

With the win, Balko will take on No.5 Shattuck Saturday at 6:30 in Shattuck for the Regional Championship.

Balko looked to be in control after a big second quarter where the Lady Bison outscored Burlington 21-8 to go up 26-12 at the half.

But Burlington answered back in the third with a 17-9 advantage to cut the Lady Bison lead back to just six. Heading into the fourth.

Balko was held to just three points in the fourth, and looked to be on the ropes with the game heading to overtime tied at 38.

Each team scored six in the first overtime, but a 10-7 advantage for the Lady Bison in the second overtime sent Balko on to the Regional Championship game.

Madison Dearmin led the Lady Bison with 24 points; Kylie Edwards and Mary Castro each added 14.

The Balko Bison fell 61-47 in their game against Burlington. Balko will take on Tyrone for the fourth time this season, this time in an elimination game, today at 3 p.m. in Shattuck.
