A gasoline spill Wednesday at the south Hutch’s Convenience Store brought about concern that led to a clean up by the Liberal Fire Department. Deputy Chief of Operations Skeety Poulton said the leak was very minimal. “There was less than three gallons, it was a very small leak,” he said. “A volunteer from a neighboring fire department had just driven by and thought they had seen a lot of fuel on the ground. A lot of it was melted snow. The water was running off, but there was a little bit of gasoline in there. It didn’t take us probably 10 minutes to get it cleaned up.” The LFD was called at 10:49 a.m. and left the scene at 11:07 a.m. Daily Leader photo/Jessica Crawford
