TURPIN, Okla. – Lois Elaine Heeren, 75, died, Feb. 20, 2014, at Liberal Good Samaritan Society.

She was born Oct. 10, 1938,  to August and Ellen Marie (Nordin) Namanny in rural Charter Oak, Iowa.

She married Hubert Heeren May 6, 1965, in Preston, Minn. He survives.

She had worked at various restaurants working as a prep cook and waitress and then traveled for 29 years working for several different carnivals.

Survivors include sisters, Helen Weibrandt, Denison, Iowa, and Beverly Christiansen, Dunlop, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by parents and three brothers: James, Harold and Herbert Namanny

• Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Independence Cemetery with the Rev. Les Bussell presiding.

Memorials are suggested to Good Samaritan Society – Liberal in care of Brenneman Funeral Home, 1212 W. Second, Liberal, KS 67901.
