Obituary

Lolan D. Hughs, 77, died Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2010, at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.

He was born June 16, 1932, to Donnel Henry and Ruth (Selby) Hughs in Braman, Okla.

He married Alene Virginia Brown April 18, 1953, in Medford, Oklahoma. She died Dec.12, 2007.

In 1950, he graduated from Braman High School.

He was an Electrical Engineer for Boeing Aircraft Company for 17 years. He was an insurance agent for MFA and Shelter Insurance for more than 30 years.

Survivors include one son, Les Hughs and wife, Donna, Fenton, Mo.; one daughter, Lavonda Chesmore and husband, Don, Reading; two grandchildren, Alec and Shelby Hughs; and one sister-in-law, Irene Dildine, Dell City, Okla.

He was also preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Wynema Schwartz.

o Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Bagwell presiding.

Burial will be at Liberal Cemetery.

Friends may call until 8 p.m. today and from 9 am till service time Saturday at Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home.
