A rough first half for the West eighth graders led to a 30-22 loss to Comanche Monday in the Warriors home gym.

West did not make a field goal in the first quarter but did make four of six free throw attempts and trailed Comanche 8-4.

Comanche dominated the second quarter 11-2 to take a 19-6 lead at half.

Cameron Riley attempted to rally the Warriors with two three pointers in the third quarter. West won the fourth quarter 8-4, but the deficit was too high, and West lost 30-22.

Riley led the Warriors with eight points. Chris Workman scored five.
