TURPIN, Okla. – Lois Elaine Heeren, 75, died Feb. 20, 2014, at Liberal Good Samaritan Society.
She was born Oct. 10, 1938, to August and Ellen Marie (Nordin) Namanny in Charter Oak, Iowa.
She married Hubert Heeren May 6, 1965 in Preston, Minn. He survives.
She had worked at various restaurants working as a prep cook and waitress until her marriage and then traveled for 29 years working for several different carnivals.
Other survivors include sisters, Helen Weinbrandt, Denison, Iowa and Beverly Christiansen, Dunlap, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by parents and three brothers: James, Harold and Herbert Namanny
• Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Independence Cemetery with the Rev. Les Bussell presiding.
Friends may call until 8 p.m. today at Brenneman Funeral Home.
