MOSCOW – Lorenzo Montoya, 54, died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014, at Via Christi St. Francis Campus in Wichita.
He was born on Nov. 22, 1959, to Heriberto and Candelaria (Fabela) Montoya in Mexico.
He worked as a farmer.
He was a member of the St. Helen Catholic Church of Hugoton.
Survivors include daughters, Cruz and Isela Montoya, both Moscow; five brothers, Alfredo Montoya, Satanta, Juan Montoya, Greeley, Colo., Emilio Montoya, Fort Hancock, Texas, Felix Montoya, Juarez, Mexico, and Vicente Montoya, Socorro, Texas; and three sisters, Cruz Santillan, Moscow, Felicitas Trejo, Anthony, N.M., and Hilda Lechuga, Garden City.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Fidel Montoya, Heriberto Montoya and Geregoria Montoya; and two sisters, Abrahana Longoria and Paula Montoya.
• Funeral services were at 2 p.m. today at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church with the Rev. Jim Dieker presiding.
Burial followed at Haskell County Cemetery
Vigil services were at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
