The Hooker Lady Bulldogs saw their season come to an end with a 46-29 loss to Hennessey in the first round of the 2A Area Tournament held at Southwestern Oklahoma State in Weatherford.

Hooker’s season ended with an outstanding 21-4 record. The Lady Bulldogs were Panhandle Conference champs, Texhoma Invitational champs, district champions, and regional runner-up.

Hooker started the game in great fashion, taking a 13-9 lead by the end of the first quarter. But Henessey outscored the Lady Bulldogs 13-6 in the second quarter to take a 22-19 lead at half.

Hennessey’s defense held Hooker to just 10 in the second half, and pulled away from the Lady Bulldogs.


Kyra Cathcart led the Lady Bulldogs with 10 points; Shania Miller added 8.
