Kenneth Curtis “Kenny” Elwood, 90, died Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010, at his residence in Liberal.
He was born Dec. 1, 1919, to James Straight and Margaret (Johnson) Elwood in Mooreland, Okla.
He married Ethel Marie Taylor July 20, 1939, in Woodward, Okla. She died July 18, 2007.
He was a retired plant operator for Northern Natural Gas Pipeline Company in Liberal.
He has been a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Robert C. Elwood Sr., Blue Springs, Mo.; three daughters, Edie Smith and husband, Darl, Wichita, Libby Atchley and husband Kerry, Liberal, and Margie Wells and husband, Jeff, Liberal; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, 10 brothers and four sisters and one great-grandson.
o Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Fellowship Baptist Church with pastors John Nelson and Bill Prater presiding.
Graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Mooreland Cemetery
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home.
