ROLLA – Shirley K. McCurry, 65, died Sunday, March 23, 2014 at her home in rural Morton County, Kansas.

She was born Aug. 6, 1948 to Lawrence and Mildred (Kaufman) Chapman in Liberal.

She married Kenneth McCurry in 1966 in Liberal.

She worked at the grocery store in Hugoton for 10 years, where she enjoyed her co-workers and customers.

She loved spending time with her grandchildren, and her special time spent with her sisters.

Survivors include daughter, Sherry Hanna and husband Mark, Edmond, Okla.; sisters: Dorothy Monroe and husband Jess, Mary Archuleta, Susan Randall and husband Doug, Lorraine Duran and husband Andy, Barbara Beason and husband James; uncle, Toby Kaufman and wife Gail; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and infant sister.

• Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at the Faith Tabernacle Church in Liberal.

Memorials are suggested to The Kempe Foundation for abused children in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 423 S Main, Hugoton, KS  67951.
