Janice S. Nipple, 71, died Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Pioneer Manor in Hugoton.
She was born July 1, 1942 to Ralph and Lorene (Barker) Hill in Stillwell, Okla.
She married Kermit Nipple Dec. 30, 1970 at the First Christian Church in Liberal. He preceded her in death on February 15, 2014.
She was a graduate of Liberal High School in 1959.
She was a co-owner of the 2nd Street Bookstore in Liberal since 1989.
She was a waitress at the Chuckwagon, Liberal Inn and various other local restaurants before purchasing the bookstore.
She loved her cats and dogs, crocheting, and sewing .
Survivors include brother in laws: Stanley Nipple and wife Yvonne, Liberal, Fredrick Nipple and wife Diantha, Alamosa, Colo., Donald Napell and wife Janice, Hays, Cary Alexander and wife Muriel, Hays; and many other aunts and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and four children.
• Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 28, 2014 at Miller Mortuary Chapel with Tim McCrary officiating.
Burial will follow the service in Moscow.
Memorials are suggested to the America Cancer Society or Angel's for Animals in care of Miller Mortuary.
