OUR OPINION

The newest rumor about the school bond says that every student will receive a computer tablet.

Wrong.

The bond will not be used to provide individual computers to any student.

For those who have posted this on social media, the question is why won’t the person who shared this false information ever make these statements in open meetings? Why do they say something in private to you but won’t make a public stand?

The answer is simple. Rumors cannot survive in the light. Truth is exposed when statements are made in the open.

If you trust the person sharing these rumors, then ask them to make a public statement during a board meeting. If they won’t, you’ll know it is not true.
