ULYSSES – Kenneth M. “Kenny” Lozar Jr., 49, died Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital in Ulysses.
He was born Sept. 8, 1964 to Kenneth Martin Sr. and Judith Ann (Downey) Lozar in Ulysses.
He married Tyra Lee on March 8, 2014 in Ulysses. She survives.
He graduated from Ulysses High School.
He worked for the state of Kansas and for the last 23 years, was a journeyman lineman for Pioneer Electric.
He was also co-owner of The Iron Horse.
He loved Harley Davidson and Big Dog motorcycles. Kenny enjoyed riding motorcycles, shooting, and collected guns.
Survivors include mother, Judy Lozar of Kirbyville, Mo.; sons, Jason Lozar, Ulysses, Leif Elliott, Garden City, Jamey Lozar, Ulysses, and Shane Olson of the home; daughter, Sara Olson of the home; sister, Karin Gwin of Quapaw, Okla.; and grandson, Ayden Lozar.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Lozar Sr. in 2012; and daughter, Andrea Lozar.
• Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the Shelton Memorial Christian Church in Ulysses with the Reverend Sam Bynum presiding.
Burial will follow at the Ulysses Cemetery.
