Wanda Taylor Busby, 85, died March 1, 2010, at her daughter’s residence in Liberal.
She was born Oct. 14, 1924, to Tom W. and Myrtle (Tatum) Mead in Lenna, Okla.
She married Burnis F. Taylor Nov. 9, 1940, in Oklahoma. He died Nov. 9, 1974.
She then married Leonard Busby April 11, 1984, in Liberal. He died Dec. 30, 2001.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church. She was involved with teaching of Sunday School, helping with the bus ministry and the church choir. She was a part of the Bread of Life Food Pantry ministry.
She enjoyed sewing for her family and friends.
Survivors include two sons, Jerry Taylor and wife, Nancy, Wichita, and Mitchell Taylor and wife, Marlene, Bentonville, Ark.; two daughters, Patricia Kuykendall and husband, M.L., Tucumcari, N.M., and Carol Scruggs and husband, Glenn, Liberal; one stepson, Larry Busby and wife, Debbie, Liberal; one stepdaughter, Sharon Zwick and husband, Andy, Pueblo West, Colo.; one sister, Helen June Banta, Weleetka, Okla.; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; and 13 step-great-grandchildren
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter Vera Elaine Taylor, two brothers, J. R. Mead and Bill Mead; one granddaughter, Rhonda Vera St. Aubyn; and one son-in-law Mike St Aubyn.
o Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Fellowship Baptist Church in Liberal with Pastor Bill Prater presiding.
Burial will follow at Liberal Cemetery.
Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home.
