After a rough first inning the Liberal Redskins got on track with two big innnings and defeated the Guymon Tigers 17-3 in just four innings.

Liberal belted out 11 hits, and Guymon assisted the Redskin offense by committing five errors.

Liberal trailed 3-1 at the end of the first, but answered in the top of the second in a big way with seven runs.

The Reskins added another nine runs in the third.

Tim Fitzgerald was 2-3 at the plate with a double, and RBI, and two runs scored. Fitzgerald also took the mound for one scoreless inning.

Cristian Erives was 2-3 with a double, two RBI, and a run scored; Collin Ware also had two hits in four at bats.

Stevie Lira pitched the first two innings and got the win, giving up one earned run, two walks, while collecting two strikeouts.

Kaiden Long also pitched one scoreless inning.

The Liberal JV team also won their game 13-0.

Liberal (4-4) will host Scott City for a double header, Tuesday at 4 p.m.
